Ms. Miglietta joined Cummins & White, LLP as a partner in 2005. She has extensive experience representing insurance companies and their insureds in both first and third party coverage analysis, disputes, litigation and appeals. She handles all aspects of litigation including “bad faith,” contract disputes, landlord tenant disputes, Business & Professions Code §17200 actions and construction defect cases.
Ms. Miglietta’s experience gives her an expertise in handling matters particular to the Southwest and California. She has provided contract analysis on fire policies issued to hundreds of policyholders whose properties were destroyed or damaged in California and Arizona wildfires. She has also represented insurers in complex commercial cases stemming from California earthquakes. Ms. Miglietta has routinely provided coverage analysis on the duty to defend on wrongful termination, slander and libel, and other personal injury coverage issues in the context of Commercial General Liability, Errors & Omissions and Directors & Officers policies.

Special Notes
Ms. Miglietta frequently conducts seminars for insurance carriers on the issues of California Fair Claims Settlement Practices Regulations, examinations under oath, concurrent causation, foreclosures and full credit bids and various duty to defend issues including Cumis and various business tort issues. While studying at Emory University, Ms. Miglietta enjoyed a junior year abroad in Italy. She is fluent in both Spanish and Italian, and proficient in French.
