“I enjoy handling insurance coverage because of its unique nature. Policy provisions are varied from carrier to carrier, and interpretation of those provisions change from state to state. Practicing in all 50 states affords me the opportunity to learn something new every day and keeps my job interesting.”

Ms. Bishop joined Cummins & White, LLP as an associate in 2000 and was made partner in 2008. She represents insurance companies and their insureds in first and third party coverage disputes, including forced placed coverage issues, errors and omission claims, fraud, duty to defend, professional liability, property damage and subrogation. Her broad insurance coverage experience ranges from policy drafting to claim appraisals to “bad faith” litigation.

Before joining Cummins & White, Ms. Bishop was a research attorney for the Los Angeles Superior Court in Norwalk where she provided tentative rulings adopted by the court. She also worked for a sole practitioner where she co-authored federal criminal appeals and handled employment cases.
